Position Summary

Timpanogos Arts Foundation and its Theater program are looking for an assistant theater program manager! The assistant program manager (APM) will work closely with the Theater Program Manager to help produce the 3-5 theatrical productions each year. This involves building production teams, holding production meetings, and following up with each leg of the production process to ensure proper execution of budgets and resources. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Budget Management:
    • Help create and execute the organizational budget for each season
    • Work closely with the program manager and executive director to make sure goals are met
    • Follow proper reporting procedures with receipts to maintain compliance
  • Show Execution:
    • Act in a ‘producer’ role with the theatrical productions each year.
    • Help hire production team members, and help shows run smoothly and successfully 
    • Be involved in artistic vision conversations each season, keeping in mind the financial well-being of the organization.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Attend production meetings, rehearsals, or strategy sessions.
    • Work with an air of collaboration with all leadership, including the program manager, general manager, executive director and board of directors
    • Represent the organization with professionalism and respect for all staff.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years working in theatrical leadership. Experience being on the production team of at least 3-5 shows. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge in Google Business suite apps (docs, drive, excel, etc.), Some technical theatrical equipment knowledge preferred.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as required by the schedule.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to walk up stairs.
