Position Summary
The Timpanogos Arts Foundation is seeking a visionary leader to join our Board of Directors. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the strategic direction and future growth of the arts in our community. Board members provide vital oversight and support, attending monthly meetings (typically held 1–2 Tuesday evenings per month) and contributing their expertise to specialized project councils. Working in close partnership with the Executive Director, you will help ensure that our business operations are executed with excellence, transparency, and maximum impact.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Learn, Implement and Refine the organization’s mission, vision and values.
- Support and evaluate executive director
- Ensure effective planning/strategic direction
- Assist in acquiring sponsors and grants
- Work well with other board members
- Ensure resources are managed effectively
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies
- Monitor and optimize organizations programs and services
- Enhance the organization’s public standing
- Ensure legal and ethical integrity
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years in business and/or arts leadership roles. Experience and passion for multiple fields in the arts community.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to plan and execute projects from start to finish.
- Flexibility: Beyond the monthly board meetings, we anticipate a commitment of approximately 8–20 hours per month. This time is primarily spent collaborating with program managers and providing hands-on support for our various initiatives.
