What we offer the community
The mission of Timpanogos Youth Theater is to provide a safe, fun environment for children ages 5-18 to learn musical theater skills and to experience the magic of showcasing those skills on stage.
TimpYT performs 3 musicals a year, offers week-long mini musicals in the Summer, and theater classes throughout the school year. In the past, TimpYT has performed Footloose, Lion King Jr and Kids, Anastasia, Little Mermaid Jr, Finding Nemo Kids, High School Musical Jr, Newsies Jr., and Frozen Jr and Kids and many more!
TimpYT serves dozens of participants each year, offers volunteer opportunities in the community and provides quality performing arts experiences for those on stage and in the audience.
Auditions for 8-18 year olds will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 2-5 PM at the Timp Arts Center (53 W Main, American Fork). Callbacks by invitation only will be held on Saturday, May 9th. Come prepared to sing 16 bars of a Broadway or Disney song in the style of the show.
TRACKS ONLY (no accompanist provided). A speaker with an AUX cord will be provided — please bring whatever adapter is needed to plug your device into and AUX cord. We ask that you do not sing a cappella (without music).
Video auditions may be submitted to the email address below and are due by 5:00 pm May 2nd. If submitting a video audition, you do not need to sign up for a time, but you do need to fill out the audition form. Unlisted YouTube links are preferred.

Upcoming Auditions
Our January production is for ages 11–18, with auditions in late August or early September. Rehearsals take place on Thursdays and select Saturdays, making it accessible for students already involved in school theater or other activities.
The March production features 3rd–6th graders. Auditions are held in November, rehearsals begin in January on Wednesdays and a few Saturdays, and performances take place in March.
Our July production includes performers ages 8–18. Auditions are in May, with rehearsals starting in late June or early July and performances in July.
In addition to these mainstage shows, TimpYT offers week-long summer mini-musicals, fall theater classes, and Bravo Troupe, a beginning musical theater class for K–2nd graders. Bravo Troupe meets once a week for one hour and presents a showcase in January and March.
